NOW it is OK for X-Mas music

Sunday, November 25th, 2007

Thanksgiving has become a non-holiday because companies choose not to capitalize on it. Halloween is still seen in the stores, and then right to Christmas. Does anyone know what Thanksgiving stands for anymore?

I was reading in the paper this morning about the skipping of Thanksgiving, and may folks said “Thanksgiving is what Christmas is supposed to be.”

I have to agree!

Thanksgiving in our family is a fairly subdued holiday where we have good food and are thankful for it. We can reflect on what has happened this year and enjoy sharing that with those closest to us. Isn’t that what Christmas is supposed to be?

After Thanksgiving happens, I am ready for X-Mas music to be on the radio, not after Halloween like KVIL and WRR have done here in Dallas.

Black Friday, coming directly!

Monday, November 19th, 2007

So, how are you folks going to spend your Friday?  We’re avoiding the crowds as usual and heading to Meema’s house for some Thanksgiving fun.  The only shopping I have committed to doing is online on Friday thanks to a deal that we are getting.

Oh yeah, and I know that pictures are not making it over to the Moblog Archives… working on that.
