Time for some lake fun.

Thursday, July 14th, 2005

It’s been a busy week. Down to Austin for a couple of days, here for a while, St. Paul & Vegas in a week or so. I hope to make platinum soon!

Class is almost over! We have 2 more classes for the live class, 2 weeks for the online, and I’m ready to be done (just as much as the students are). It’s been a busy semester, and I can use the break. It is difficult to be on this side of the table as well I am finding.

Tomorrow, we are heading down to the lake for the weekend. Man I am looking forward to it. I will be enjoying not only the break from the mundane, but also the water. Hopefully the lake will be very calm early in the mornings so I can get some nice glassy surfaces for skiing.

Time to go to sleep now, been working enough on different things and I’m exhausted!

OK, so where have I been?

Yeah, it’s been busy. Here’s a quick update on what has been going on.

We had a HUGE party on the 2nd of July to celebrate the independence of our fine country, and had over 40 people come. Wow! By far the biggest one we have had thus far, and the food was amazing. Over 35 pounds of meat was consumed! We had a 10lb brisket that was skillfully carved by Lee, 6 racks of ribs, that Russ chopped up, 60 bacon wrapped shrimp (those guys went fast), and various kinds of sausage from venison to pork. We also had some stuffed jalepenos that went VERY fast. Wow. Heart attacks for all.

I also bought a fresh keg for the party on Monday. It had MAYBE a case pulled off. Well the keg blew about 9pm. What a great job!

Also, I had some well needed and deserved vacation time. We did not go anywhere, but I got to stay home and enjoy not working. No major issues happened, and I’m now back to the grindstone.

I’ll write some more later, but for now, this is all you get!
